Farm

Crighton’s Farm is a location on the planet Earth where we live and try to take good care of the land, which in turn takes good care of us.  We plant green manures and use chicken and horse manure in the autumn of the year to add organic matter to the soil.  We use light tillage equipment in the spring and various mulches through the summer to work and protect the soil.  The myriad of vegetables and fruits produced are sold thru our CSA and also places like Whole Foods in Pittsburgh, Penn’s Corner, and Friedman’s Markets around Butler, as well as some here at the farm and most definitely some is eaten by us!
